Let me help you get to a better place and a better you.

Central to my work is a deep respect and humility for a person’s unique lived experience  which encompasses ethnicity, cultural and religious background, sexual orientation,  gender identity among many other things - all of which heavily inform the work we do  together. Equally important is my commitment to self-reflection, examining my own  privilege and how that impacts the work I do.

Internal Family Systems Individuals & Couples

IFS is an evidenced-based approach to psychotherapy therapy. Through the IFS lens, we examine and heal different parts of your inner world that carry burdens from the  past and interfere with relationships. The goal is not to banish these parts, but to deepen your understanding of and  increase your compassion towards them. I also incorporate Somatic Experiencing techniques to enhance the healing process and improve overall well-being.

In Couples Therapy, the goal is to build a more satisfying relationship by understanding and addressing individual internal systems so couples can improve communication, reduce conflict and improve emotional intimacy.

Anxiety and Depression

If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, I want you to know something vital - you are not broken, and your symptoms are not defects. Through the IFS lens, I will help you understand these overwhelming feelings not as illnesses to be cured, but as deeply devoted "Parts" of you that have stepped in to manage life's challenging moments. Whether your anxious Parts are working overtime to anticipate and protect you from danger, or your depression has stepped in to numb your system from emotional overload, these symptoms are actually trying to protect you from feeling your deepest vulnerabilities.

In our work together, we will not fight or judge these heavy thoughts,  feelings and behaviors. Instead, we will approach them with compassion, helping you safely "unblend" from the fog so you can connect with your undamaged, inherently calm core essence. By listening to your anxious and depressed parts instead of forcing them away, they can finally step back, allowing us to gently heal the underlying wounds you have carried for so long.

Life Transitions & Grief

Have you been “thrown off” your game by a major life change like going to college, moving to a new city, ending a relationship, divorce, facing a health related challenge, the loss of a loved one? Has your perception of yourself changed as you enter a new phase of life thereby impacting your thoughts, emotions and behaviors?

There is a path forward. Through our work together using Somatic Experiencing, IFS, and Emotional Sobriety, I will help you navigate and embrace life transitions unique to all human beings.

Recovery Support

If you are struggling with alcohol, disordered eating, or compulsive relationship loops, it can feel like an exhausting war within yourself. Traditional recovery models often tell you to fight or suppress these behaviors.  IFS uses a compassionate, non-blaming approach.  Your addictive processes are not defects; they are overworking protective mechanisms rushing in to soothe, numb, or distract you from deep, underlying emotional pain, trauma, or fears of abandonment.

Together, we won't fight or judge these behaviors. Instead, we will tap into the calm, undamaged core of who you truly are—to safely understand and heal the deeper wounds your coping mechanisms are trying to shield. Whether your protective parts use alcohol to douse anxiety, food to gain control, or love obsession to feel worthy, our goal is to resolve the root pain. Once those underlying wounds are witnessed and healed, your protective parts will no longer need to rely on survival mode. They can finally stand down, allowing you to step into a life of genuine freedom, balance, and self-led peace.

The Displaced Soul

Displaced refers to the removal of something or someone from its proper or usual place.

I frequently hear clients say, “I should have…” or “I feel like something is missing or off.” For many of us, the lives we have built were constructed on someone else’s foundation, shaped by the pressures, expectations and beliefs of parents, partners, community, social media, culture, etc. rather than our own essence.  At some point along the way, we lost ourselves to someone else’s plan. Perhaps you didn’t have a choice because you knew there would be consequences.

If you feel your life is out of alignment or find yourself yearning for something more, I invite you to be honest with yourself: Are you living your truth, or are you held back by the fear of what might happen if you did? That sense of being a "displaced soul" is a powerful signal that your current path may not be your truth.

I invite you to listen to your inner wisdom. I would love to help you rediscover your core essence and begin living a life that is truly your own.

“Being human is not about being any one particular way; it is about being as life creates you—with your own particular strengths and weaknesses, gifts and challenges, quirks and oddities.”
